After officiating at six funerals for gun violence victims, the Rev. Nancy Nord Bence, an ordained Lutheran pastor, felt called to leave parish ministry and join the gun reform movement. She now serves as Executive Director of Protect Minnesota, the only independent, state-based gun violence prevention organization in Minnesota. Protect Minnesota promotes a culture of health and safety for all Minnesotans by reducing gun deaths and injuries through education, organization and advocacy. Nord Bence will speak to us about gun violence and what we can do to prevent it.
