Walkers know the good feeling of being outdoors and moving along the path. If 2020 made you a walker now it's time to try Nordic Walking and take that walk to the next level! With poles in hand Nordic walkers realize a more upright posture, work their whole body and enjoy a higher heart rate, less stress on lower joints and better oxygen consumption.  The natural rhythm of walking with poles  increases the workout without feeling like you've over exerted yourself. This class will include a discussion of the history and benefits of Nordic walking, pole anatomy and introduction to basic technique for getting started. Poles will be available for you to take your first walk. Wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather as we will be meeting outdoors. This program requires a minimum of 10 participants.
