About this event
Dr. Kate Beane (Flandreau Santee Sioux Dakota) will share an overview of both the historic and contemporary Dakota experience in Minnesota. Dr. Beane will discuss ongoing tribal and community efforts to steward Dakota homelands in the twin cities.
Dr. Beane is the Executive Director of the Minnesota Museum of American Art (The M), and previously served as Director of Native American Initiatives at the Minnesota Historical Society.
