About this event

What does the emergence of various left-wing governments mean for countries in Latin America? Electoral results in Latin America over the past four years have led many observers of the regional/political scene to discern a left-wing surge in the hemisphere, reminiscent of the so-called “Pink Tide” that swept the area some 20 years ago. But how much do these politicians actually have in common? What implication does their ascendency have for the region?

Our speaker for this evening is Rob Scarlett. Rob currently serves as Senior Advisor to Clearwater Biologic, LLC, a bio-remediation business located in Babbitt, Minnesota, and Board Chair for the Venn Foundation in St. Paul, Minnesota, as well as Advisor to the Sundance Family Foundation in St. Paul. Since 1999, he has also managed special projects for Hunter Scarlett Consulting and advises start-ups in the US, Europe, and Latin America.  Rob is a former Chair of Global Minnesota and currently serves as Board Vice President of the Brazil-Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
