Membership Benefits

Flexible and Convenient Programs

Choose from a variety of monthly programs, professionally managed and designed with you in mind. We offer a balance of in-person and Zoom-based events at a variety of times to accommodate both working and retired individuals. In-person opportunities are offered at various locations in the Mill City neighborhood, primarily at the MCC office. Register for as many programs as your schedule allows. Canceling is also easy if last-minute commitments arise. Click here to visit our calendar of events.

Make New Friends

New friendships are valued and easily made at Mill City Commons and are a compelling reason members join and maintain their memberships. There are a myriad of ways to meet people including educational programs, outdoor activities, volunteer options and social events. Mill City Commons is a community where members enjoy being together.

Friendly, Professional, Responsive Staff

Staff members are ready to assist you in taking advantage of everything that MCC offers. They can help you navigate our members-only website, where you can register for an event or find a needed resource. In partnership with our program committee, our staff also ensures that programs and events are well-organized, diverse, engaging, and fun. Click here to meet our staff and Board.

Member-to-Member Support

Receive a helping hand with light errands, a ride to an appointment, or a meal when needed. Share in others’ personal experiences and solutions to life's transitions. MCC also offers a medical equipment loan program so if you hit a bump in the road, you can reach out for assistance.

Resources

Gain exclusive access to member resources, including member forums, a membership directory and an extensive library of recorded past programs. Members also save time by accessing a list of services and vendors that other members have used and found satisfactory. This provides a starting point that can help you make more informed choices about everything from tech support to a dentist to care management.

Membership Options

We do our very best to keep MCC overhead expenses low so that we can provide the best value to members. For the cost of a meal out each month, members gain access to all that MCC has to offer, including programs, activities, events, and resources. Memberships are annual and dues can be paid quarterly or annually.

I am not yet retired. Does a MCC membership make sense?
I am not yet retired. Does a MCC membership make sense?

Definitely. Many of our members are still working part-time or full-time. We offer programs at a variety of times of day and days of the week to accommodate both working and retired members. Our calendar shows the varied times that programs and events are offered.

“MCC’s variety of programming is what keeps me coming back for more. Socializing is extremely important for me. I love the Saturday breakfasts, last Tuesday happy hours and the Thursday morning men’s group. The educational programming is also wonderful-the Great Decisions program is incredible. Then there are the Nosy Neighbor Tours…we get to see places that most people could not get into, or at least not to that extent. We got a behind-the-scenes look that is not available to the public.”
