About this event

Hennepin County Sheriff Dawanna Witt leads the largest sheriff’s office in the state of Minnesota. Leading a law enforcement agency in a large metropolitan area in 2023 comes with many challenges. As the first woman and first person of color to hold the office, Sheriff Witt and her broad range of experiences make her well-poised to address the diverse range of community and public safety needs in Hennepin County. Sheriff Witt will share about her journey in this field and discuss her top priorities for the agency.
