About this event

The public is deeply divided about the criminal justice system, from policing, to charging, to sentencing. The shortcomings of the existing punitive justice system are well known, but the alternatives are often murky. In this discussion, Former Hennepin County District Judge Bruce Peterson will explore restorative justice-- exactly what it is, why it works, and  what role it can play in a more humane, effective system for addressing crime.
