About this event

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty has made news lately with regards to how youth are being prosecuted under the juvenile justice system. Sarah Davis, Hennepin County Deputy District Attorney and director of Children & Families Division, will explain the changes in how the prosecution of teens under 18 years old are being handled under County Attorney Mary Moriarty and the research and evidence that makes the case for these different prosecution guidelines than previous guidelines for the DA’s office. The DA’s office believe these new guidelines protect public safety, gives consideration for victims and improves outcomes for youth entangled in the criminal justice system.
