About this event
Join us for a special tour of Fort Snelling to see their new interactive exhibit, Many Voices, Many Stories, One Place. On this tour to you will journey through more than 10,000 years and witness the site's complex history unfold through diverse perspectives.
You'll encounter the stories of dozens of individuals whose lives played out at various times, including Dakota and Ojibwe people, Japanese-Americans, immigrants, enslaved African American people, soldiers, and fur traders.
Learn about the sacred Dakota homeland at the confluence of the Mni Sota Wakpa (Minnesota) and Haha Wakpa (Mississippi Rivers), the military fort that played a pivotal role in our nation’s history, and the site’s importance in the formation of our state.
Nancy Cass, the Historic Ft. Snelling site manager, will welcome us at the new Visitor Center and guide the tour.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen.
Ticket prices are $12 per person, free for MNHS members. Parking is $6 per car, $4 per car for members (there is ticket validation in the Visitor Center).
