About this event
Please join us to kayak down the Mississippi River with a National Park Service ranger as your guide, starting at North Mississippi Regional Park and ending at Boom Island.
Attendees must be able to maneuver a kayak on moving water and the event is not recommended for beginners.
Single kayaks, a paddle, and a life jacket will be provided. Please bring water and a snack, sun protection, and insect repellent. Please wear clothing and shoes you don't mind getting wet. Dry bags and binoculars are optional.
We'll be kayaking rain or shine, unless there is heavy rain or lightning.
This is a free event, but if you need to cancel, please allow 3 days before the event so we can try to refill the spaces. Please arrive at 5:10pm. Waivers will need to be signed - to access the waiver, click HERE.
Parking is free at North Mississippi Regional Park. At Boom Island, there is free street parking or paid parking in the lot. We will need to coordinate cars to help each other drive from one location to the other.
