About this event
Join League of Women Voters expert Sheila Dougherty for an opportunity to help Get Out the Vote.
Sheila’s focus has been to build collaborations with organizations serving underrepresented and underserved populations, their staffs and volunteers. This is an excellent follow up to our July 7th LWV program in which participants identified their interest in supporting GOTV efforts in wards where voting is less than throughout other parts of the city. Sheila will share their experience and lessons learned. She will discuss non-partisan postcard writing opportunities, identify registration opportunities at high schools and colleges, and provide non-partisan voter guides that members can distribute to friends, colleagues, and organizations in their communities.
Join us at 1:00 pm, before the program begins, for lemonade, light treats, good company, and an opportunity to help encourage voter participation throughout our community.
Interested in carpooling? Click on the registrant list and find a member in your building or near you that you can connect with and ask to share a ride. Or, feel free to contact the MCC office for a suggestion.
