Join us to hear from two former naval officers who use their extensive intelligence, naval, and business backgrounds to write from-the-headlines thrillers about the national security challenges of the 21st century, including nuclear proliferation, non-state actors, espionage, covert action, home-grown radicalism, and cyber warfare. Co-authors Jon Olson (a popular Great Decisions speaker) and David Bruns will discuss the practicalities and pitfalls of writing about current events, as well as their research process, which included talking with cyber professionals and other security experts about real-life threats. Their latest co-authored novel, The Pandora Deception, was released in October of 2020. Their next series, a World War Three trilogy, releases in January 2022 with the novel, Command and Control.

Jon and David will be selling their books, which range from $10-20, and can be paid for with cash or check.
