Enjoy December's make-up reading of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley. This play is a sequel of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
The beloved Bennet sisters and their spouses gather at the Darcy home for Christmas a few years after Jane Austen left off their story. When the middle Miss Bennet, Mary, unexpectedly encounters shy bookworm Arthur de Bourgh, she finds a kindred spirit and intellectual equal. But, since Arthur is a “single man in possession of a good fortune,” she’s hardly his only suitor. Mary must learn to be the heroine of her own story in this charming holiday romance. This play was performed at the Jungle Theatre in 2019.
Note: Dramaturg Jo Holcomb will assign parts.
TONIGHT'S READING HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER!
Registration is now closed. If you are interested in being on a "sub" list for the play-reading program, please contact Mary Texidor: email@example.com.
