A Mother’s Love Initiative is a North Minneapolis-based non-profit organization made up of African American mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters. Its mission is to build strong families with strong foundations — academically, socially, emotionally and financially — now and for generations to come.

A Mother's Love Founder Lisa Clemons and her special guests will speak about the initiative’s meaning for and impact on the people it serves.  What were the origins of A Mother’s Love Initiative? Why and how does this well-regarded program change lives? What makes the program so effective?  What is the vision for the future of A Mother’s Love Initiative?

Lisa Clemons will be introduced by Ward 3 Council Member Michael Rainville.
