About this event
All of a sudden women’s sports are big news. Who would ever have believed that this year the Women’s Final Four championship game would out draw the Men’s championship by over 4 million viewers? This did not happen overnight. Come and hear from Mary Jo Kane, former director of the Tucker Center at the University of Minnesota who will talk about fifty years of Title IX advocacy. She will be joined by MCC member Theresa Ward who was a Title IX athlete at the University of Minnesota and special guest Priscilla Lord who is daughter of legendary attorney general Miles Lord who was one of the early backers of Title 9. Members are encouraged to bring guests.
